A destination site for travellers heading to Indonesia
The Project
IndoBuddies is a high-traffic, content-rich website designed to support travellers at every stage of planning their trip to Indonesia. The site brings together blog articles, curated itineraries, a business directory and events listings, creating a central hub for practical travel information and local insight.
Because the site is updated frequently by multiple contributors, a strong content structure was essential. We designed clear content types and workflows so that posts, listings and events automatically appear in the right places across the site without manual duplication. Custom taxonomies and tagging systems ensure content can be organised consistently, even as the site grows.
For visitors, discoverability was a key focus. We built flexible filtering and browsing tools that allow users to quickly narrow content by location, category, interest and travel style. Whether someone is looking for kid-friendly activities, accommodation, food options or upcoming events, they can find relevant content in just a few clicks.
The result is a scalable destination website that balances rich storytelling with practical functionality—easy for contributors to manage behind the scenes, and intuitive for travellers to explore when planning their Indonesian adventure.
