The Project
Sefton Rani’s website is built around one clear priority: showcasing powerful, contemporary artwork through strong visual presentation. The site needed to give the work space to speak for itself, while creating a memorable experience for visitors.
Imagery drives every design decision. We created a clean, minimal layout that puts the focus on large-scale visuals, allowing the bold character of the artwork to take centre stage. To keep the experience dynamic, the homepage loads with a different background image each time, giving returning visitors a fresh first impression.
We also added custom functionality so that when the site is left idle, it transitions into a slideshow of the artist’s work. This creates a gallery-like experience, turning the website into a living display rather than a static portfolio.
The result is a visually driven site that leaves visitors with a strong sense of the scale, style and diversity of Sefton Rani’s work, and a lasting impression of the artist’s contemporary practice.
